I witnessed an act of Sethness at about 1:30-2pm
yesterday. A young woman came in to Pier 1 where I work for the first time. She
spent over an hour picking out all sorts of candles, vases, wine glasses, etc.
As I was checking her out, she told me they were for her mom. I asked what the
occasion was and she said, "just because. My moms been helping me get
settled into a new apartment and I wanted to do something for her." This
woman seemed like she didn't have much money but spent over $150 on these
gifts. It wasn't until after she left that I realized it was an act of
Sethness. Rest in peace my dear friend. You're so missed already and will
continue to be in my thoughts and heart for years to come.
